Kariya Hard to believe he got up, and scored in that game. If you watch the full video Stevens shoulder makes direct contact with his jaw, Kariyas head smashes the ice and he was out to the world.

I watched it like a billion times. Its a world famous hit man. Kariya was a beast and its sad he didn't play out his entire career.

4 mil for a guy like that ain't bad in today's NHL. He's only 26 and just entering his prime as well. Too much money for a 35pt guy imo. Seems to be the trend of contracts now. Used to be 30 points got you 2-2.5 mil, now apparently it gets you 4+ Edit: unless you are a 30 point D man, then you get 6mil/per

Seems to be the trend of contracts now. Used to be 30 points got you 2-2.5 mil, now apparently it gets you 4+ This is what concerns me for next off-season with Abdelkader and helm being ufas. Helm always seems to be injured. I would bet helm will get around 3-3.5 (open market), maybe even Beleksey money at 3.8 if he has another 30+ point season (assuming he hits the open market) . Abdelkader is the really scary one. If he has another 20+goal and 40+ point season, I bet you he will ask for 5+
