His age is such that I'm not sure he gets another sniff. If he can find a way to adapt his game and he's willing to move on from San Jose then he might find a home but I seriously doubt it. Yeah i agree, the type of player Marleau is those types don't hang around, the one dimensional scoring winger who relies on speed and quickness. Who knows what will happen but he might be a fit if he can join a strong possession team that doesn't rely on speed.

That's likely the role he'd have if he was to hang around. It's just his lack of defensive ability, plus when he's not scoring like how some people view Eberle he looks lazy and uninterested. To me that's just not good 3rd line attributes unless some team will play him inthe top 6 in a couple years he could be done.

Send him to Florida where he can retire in peace.

I wish, Marleau loves San Jose too much.

I wish, Marleau loves San Jose too much. Shame. I'm sure the sharks could have got a decent pick package and/or prospects for him and jumbo Joe a couple of years ago. Too bad he can't recall some of that scoring prowess since he doesn't seem to want to move.

Jumbo's OEL i have no problem with him, i hope we resign him... he's still a excellent faceoff guy and tremendous passer, i don't see those skills diminishing anytime soon. Marleau on the other hand i'm afraid he's just going to end up being dead weight until his contract is up.
