He's a grump but I love him because of it. He's walked out on media before too, don't piss him off. Jumbo's OEL........i've truly enjoyed watching do his thing. I bet if he wants he can play into his 40's. Always one of my favourite players. I hope he gets his cup and shuts up the haters. |

I think Eberle is probably the most likely to be traded if the Oilers trade away a forward. Especially if Leon gets moved to a wing in order to get him into the top 6. I honestly don't think the Oilers are going to move any forwards any time soon. If they do it would likely be Yakupov or Draisaitl and they'd keep the proven commodities. I got dibs on Draisaitl....... reunite Draisaitl and Chartier.  |

I agree. No need to rush it off Ference right now, unless he is a solid lock to see significant time as a healthy scratch.
Nuge to me is the best of the bunch, more of a quiet leader. After him Hall. I don't see McD or Nurse because Nuge and Hall are in front of them experience wise, and they are not lagging in the talent and respect areas.
Ebs is a good "A" but because of his "laziness" is a poor choice for captaincy.

I remember the Sharks doing a rotating captain before we named Marleau. It was Ricci, Damphousse, and McCauley. |

While similar it is not really the same.
The limited presence and direct actions between cliques makes it more of a pure popularity contest where those who thought they should be considered can become butthurt and affect team unity.
The voting for a national leader does not have that close knitted set of relationships, and that is where the connection to high school comes in.
