It'd almost make more sense for the digital ads to be shown on the ice (think rugby/soccer matches), then that way they can even get local adverts set up. Leave the actual NHL jersey's alone, unless they want to be allowing a single patch sponsor, similar to how soccer teams are set up (Man U. = Aon) or how we used to have a patch on the hockey teams we had as kids. But like Dangles13 said, the Euro league sponsorship is ugly. Dangles is always right too. Dangles is the best!!!

But like Dangles13 said, the Euro league sponsorship is ugly. Euro clubs don't have arenas that are huge like those in the NHL. Some of those buildings don't hold 5K sometimes. Plus, as mentioned, there aren't any commercial breaks, so sponsors have to be seen somehow - the circles and equipment make up for it. Granted, I don't think the NHL's ever going to go like that. I was unaware about the size of the arena, and the commercial breaks. Maybe the NHL could make a lot of money by having vehicles on display? Although we already have them driving on the ice at intermission.

I dont think so either. There's a lot of doomsday fanatics thinking the nhl will end up looking like the billboard jerseys of the euro leagues. I just don't see it happening.
