So, why can't we put Stamkos back in the faceoff dot on the PP? Teams knew it was coming and still could not stop it. With the speed/dynamic passing of the triplets Stamkos is sure to be open quite often. If you put Stamkos out with the triplets and hedman, they have no choice but to cover everyone and cannot smother Stamkos 1-timer. It is a no brainer to use this as the first PP unit in my mind. Fuck a guy infront of the net, fuck a "grinder" down low (Palat kind of does that anyway). Go with pure talent, Pure skill, pure execution. It cannot be stopped.. What the hell, Cooper?!?!?

Cooper seems to favor splitting up his top players for the PP too much. I agree that the Stamkos - Triplets - Hedman group should be out there. They could easily play 1.25-1.5 minutes of a PP too. Then send out something like Filpulla - Drouin - Callahan - Nestrov - Stralman line. (change as needed)

Then send out something like Filpulla - Drouin - Callahan - Nestrov - Stralman line. (change as needed) If an opposing team has a strong top shutdown unit, the line with Stamkos and the triplets will get all the attention and it will be harder for them to make plays. Splitting up the offense is a good idea. The 'not putting all your eggs in one basket' method. Let Drouin play with Stamkos and Filpulla on the top unit and let the triplets play the second unit. Flop hedman back and forth between both units to give him the maximum amount possible and sometimes missing the strong matchups. If you play 4 forwards on the top unit (so add whichever is playing the best that game or whoever you like) and then play with two D on the second unit, you have a two headed monster for your PP. Stamkos will always see the tough matchups. Hard to avoid that, but if you play the triplets separate, they will have more success with the secondary defensive units. In my opinion, that could have been one of the key successes for the triplets last year. Confidence on the PP.

But knowing Julien that shit just happens. Then I throw back a few shots of jack and watch us give up a shorthanded goal.

Would you be happy if you guys traded coaches? Julien wouldnt infuriate me so much if he stopped giving the fourth line 14 minutes a game. I get rolling the lines, but having guys like Campbell and Paille get 12-14 minutes a night is just stupid. Ill pick Julien over Therrien any day. Therrien just juggles his lines all the fucking time and relies on the goalie to bail them out. Rask can bail us out, but I much prefer Julien's system.

Paille and Campbell should be a 5-8 minutes a night type of player. They're not the grinding line are they?

Paille and Campbell are gone, now we can play Rinaldo/talbot and kelly for 14 minutes.
