And more fun. Bow hunting elk in the rut is awesome. Bugling in a big feisty bull in close makes the hair on your neck stand straight up. Never hunted elk. Have bow hunted deer and turkey. I pegged some rabbits while bored before too. Side note: Anyone else getting a weird "does not exist" message from HB? Elk is 10x more fun than deer. I assume you sit in a tree stand for deer? Elk you're on the ground calling. You see a couple 6-7 point bulls battling 20 yards in front of you and the ground is shaking. Adrenaline rush.

Got one once while stalking. Was really proud of that. 30 yard kill in heavy brush.

Also two moose. My old man does black bear but I've never gone that far yet with a bow.

But the whitetail wasn't that hard. Had a good noise cancellation as there was construction near by when I was out.

Good luck man. How is the hunting in california anyway? It's good bro, the place I go every year is solid. Someone in my hunting party always gets a deer usually. I go up north past Chico to hunt in the Lassen national forest, the pacific crest trail is right there where I camp I've walked up on deer and bears walking that trail. I love the rush I get while hunting being out in the wild you know.

I love being alone or with just a friend or two out in the woods, relaxing, listening to the sounds of nature and a few beers.

And also 10x more expensive. How so? Not here. Exact same cost. It was more expensive for the licenses up in MI when I lived there for elk. By a factor of 3 or 4 in fact.

But then again, this was 7-8 years ago when I still hunted.
