Halverson is one of the guys they are looking at for the future. Also the Russian goalie who played in the WJC (not even going to try to spell his name), he has been getting a lot of praise. I think our goalie coach Allaire is the real key. As long as he is with the team we are ok. Hell Hank gives him all the credit to his success, he even said he had the athletic ability, but Allaire taught him how to be a goalie. Allaire is a OEL goalie coach, I think better than LA's. I forgot allll about Halverson. He does look solid. Don't know who the Russian kid. Lundqvist I think will maintain elite levels for another 2-5 years. Then he'll peter out to a good-solid goalie. Very interested to see how Talbot does away from Allaire. I will be rooting for him no matter what. Was a OEL guy on the team. Question for ya, what is the deal with Raanta? I never saw him play, I'm assuming you have seen him play? |

Allaire is a OEL goalie coach, I think better than LA's. I forgot allll about Halverson. He does look solid. Don't know who the Russian kid. Lundqvist I think will maintain elite levels for another 2-5 years. Then he'll peter out to a good-solid goalie. Very interested to see how Talbot does away from Allaire. It seems he's a bit of primadonna but he's solid in net, especially behind a competent defense like the NYR. Watch out if your stay at home dmen go down with injuries though. He's not the OELest at breakaways. |
