Is anyone else fed up with the "need to protect McDavid" garbage that people that saying has to happen? The kid is tough and strong. Oh no! He was hit by another player and got up with no issues and kept playing and didn't whine and cry like Crosby. We need Lucic!! Fuck off with it. As long as the team doesn't fucking sulk away to the bench when there's a tussle after the whistle, then things are fine.

As long as the team doesn't fucking sulk away to the bench when there's a tussle after the whistle, then things are fine. I hear you on this. McDavid has far more personal toughness than crosby. Now if someone like John Scott starts grabbing him after the whistle, then you might want to send a couple of guys in to protect him. I think that goes for everyone, not just McDavid though. I really get aggravated when 'star' players get preferential treatment. Like a couple of years ago when Crosby came back from a concussion and they had a shift-by-shift analysis of his play. WTF? Who gives a shit if he got 4 points in his return against an AHL goaltender. FUCK OFF WITH THAT SHIT. |
