What a dream defensive pairing. Ference and Nikitin. Call them F-Nik As depressing as that thought is, it took Pietrangelo two years to make the Blues for a full time roster spot. Nurse getting more awesome the AHL can only benefit in the long run. Plus, if Nurse is ready, there's a lot of money between AF and NN. Chiapet will deal with the situation accordingly.

I think having Nurse in the AHL can only help his development, look what it did for Klefbom.

This isn't a big deal, having him play in the ahl. You wanna make sure he has a spot anyways before you get his ELC going.

His ELC would start if he plays in the AHL this year anyways. How so? I believe that players that are 20 years or older start to burn through their contract regardless, could be wrong but that is what I think the rule is. Also as soon as he becomes a regular pro player he will be fulfilling his rookie contract.

Yeah you're right, I didn't realize he was already 20.... but he's still got the 3 years of ELC with the contract slide. Either way doesn't hurt to have him start in the A until he has a full time spot on the team. You guys need to ship some mofo's out via trade or via bury their ass in the A.
