I think having Nurse in the AHL can only help his development, look what it did for Klefbom. No!!! It's not ok!!! He's a bust now!!!  |

I believe that players that are 20 years or older start to burn through their contract regardless, could be wrong but that is what I think the rule is. Also as soon as he becomes a regular pro player he will be fulfilling his rookie contract. Yeah you're right, I didn't realize he was already 20.... but he's still got the 3 years of ELC with the contract slide. Either way doesn't hurt to have him start in the A until he has a full time spot on the team. You guys need to ship some mofo's out via trade or via bury their ass in the A. He didn't seem dominate in the Young Stars Tournament so I see no reason to gift him a spot on the team. Let him learn the pro game without the pressure of being in the NHL and call him up when he can step right into a top 4 spot. I think Nikitin is gone ASAP but Ference's contract makes it almost impossible to move him unless he wants to take one for the team. |
