The Rangers are going to be begging someone to take a contract off their hands now. Real good deal for Rangers & Stepan. Right up against the cap, but going to have to wait and see the opening night roster. Can't imagine the Rangers are going to dump a significant contract. They will figure it out.

I think they'd be crazy to start the year with less than half a mil in cap space.

I agree though, can't imagine the Rangers will be starting the season that close to the cap. They would run into the same issue the Penguins had last year.

I could see them trying to shop Klein or Boyle and praying to the hockey gods that McIlrath can play defence finally.

If they could move Boyle, i will be giving out free handjobs to all current members.

I just can't imagine Boyle going anywhere. I think they are going to see how Skjei does in camp and maybe decide from there. Unfortunately, Klein might be the guy they would move.

Lost Marty and Sheppard at least and didn't replace either one right?

Yeah, I'm guessing the lines will be: Zucc/Brass/Nash Kreider/Stepan/Miller Fast/Hayes/Etem Glass/Moore/ Lindberg I think they are hoping Etem has enough consistency to stay with the team, and Oscar Lindberg can make the jump this year. Alot of Rangers fans want Hayes to play the wing on the 2nd line, and hope Lindberg can center the 3rd line. Im of the opinion to leave Hayes as the 3rd line center and let Lindberg play the wing on the 4th line to start the season.

If Hayes takes another step forward offensively then he almost has to get into the top 6 somehow.

Problem with Miller is he gives a 100% but doesnt seem to have enough hockey sense, where as Lindberg by all accounts is very hockey smart and plays OEL on both sides of the puck. I think thats why he would be the choice if Hayes moves up to the 2nd line wing.

Yeah, I think there are going to be a couple pto's. Rangers like doing that. I would like to keep the lineup the way it is, minus Glass and Boyle. I'm guessing neither of them is going anywhere though. If anything I think they are going to play with what they have and depending how that works out could see a good trade during the season. I was praying that there would have been some package the Rangers could have put together with Talbot to pry Yak away from you guys. I think the Oilers made a real smart move by keeping him, despite all the rumors about him.
