I will begin this segment with this.
a 2nd round pick, two 3rd round picks, a 4th round pick and a 5th round pick. No longer property of the Boston Bruins. Traded away.
Lets see what it got us.
Zac Rinaldo- One of our future 3rd rounders went to this guy. The cunt of all cunts. A borderline beer-league player who was brought in to replace some 'toughness' and has only succeeded in being completely useless this season. (did I mention he is currently in the AHL), big fucking pick up there.
John-Michael Liles- A veteran D man who's stock has completely diminished. A virtual skeleton on the ice, this guy apparently is worth a 3rd round pick, a 5th round pick AND a prospect. Lets negate the fact that Liles hasn't put up more than 22 points in the past 5 seasons, Sweeney paid that price for a career minus player. A team desperate for defense and goal-prevention, you go out and get the exact opposite, a D man that will let in MORE goals. Knowing CLOAD, JML likely slots into the second pairing next to Seidenberg......WOOF.
Lee Stempniak- A man who can never seem to find a permanent home, Boston is Stempniak's 9th home in his NHL career. Seemingly having his best year on a bargain contract with the Devils, Stempniak, who has never fetched more than a mid round pick in his life, was apparently worth a 2nd round pick AND a 4th round pick. Not a player to complain about acquiring, but the price is atrocious.
You can give this cunt all the credit you want on the Lucic trade and the flipping of Jones. Beyond that, what good has he done with the club. He didnt take the best players available at the draft. Maybe we have good ones (some do look ok) but you never know until they get their first taste of the NHL. This putrid pile of vaginal waste had an opportunity to attain some real assets for Loui Eriksson, and didnt. Assets they could have then flipped to acquire something that could really benefit the club. So we keep him, fine. There better be a new contract then, otherwise the 'big chip' we got from the Tyler Seguin trade is going to walk this summer and the club is going to be in even worse shape next year.
Its been less than a year, and I am already over this good ol' boys management group. Tremendous players in their day, but these guys dont know two shits about running a club, and deserve all the credit into turning it into the steaming pile of shit it has become and will continue to be.
FUCK YOU SWEENEY and NEELY. We are swiftly becoming the Oilers of the past ten years. Poorly run from top to bottom.
