Ok boys, honest opinion time...based on the Avs probable opening night line up, do you see this as a playoff team or not? Tangs Dutch Iggy Landy Soderberg MacK Comeau Grigorenko Everberg McLeod Mitchell Winchester Bordeleau/Hishon Beauchemin Johnson Zadorov Barrie Stuart Guenin Holden Redmond Varlamov Berra That roster has changed a lot in 2-3 years. Wow. I think they do make it in the wild card spot.

I am very interested to see how Mackinon comes back this year. I think he will have a huge year because his shooting percentage was to low for a guy with his skill.

He was starting to pile up the points before he broke his foot. And once he was healed and palyed at the Worlds, he didn't look like he lost a beat. Guy was electric overseas (9pts in 10gms) You cant teach that speed

I think they sneak back in. Defense looks better, and MacK is going to be a force. Van, Dallas,Minn, and maybe even Calgary could all miss.

I wish Calgary would miss, but I think they got 2 solid additions with Frolik and Hamilton. Plus Gio will be healthy...I can't see them missing. Only if their goalie situation implodes or their Johnny Hockey Monahan line finally comes down to earth. If that line stinks next season, I can't see them scoring too many goals

I think Rantanen makes the team out of camp. Biggest surprise will be the progression of Bigras. Bigras will likely start the first part of the season in the AHL, but quickly get called up for an injury an wont be sent back down. Colorado will have the first wildcard spot in the west. Thats my prediction.

Bigras also could make the team, he sounds hell bent on making it too. Both of them I think will start the year in the AHL, and will be the first call ups as well. Let Stuart get injured and then make room for Bigras
