The Dominator will always be one of my favourite players ever. Marek Zidlicky has to be a close 2nd though. |

Marek Zidlicky has to be a close 2nd though. It's definitely between Zidlicky and Zubrus for sure. They will probably never know the joys of Zubrus since Uncle Lou is now in Maple Leaf land and Zubrus is sure to follow. |

Stevie Y is also another guy who is just fantastic. Lidstrom was a phenomenal player but I never really cared for him, mostly due to jealousy. |

I picked Lidstrom because from the mid '90s through mid '00s there were maybe 2-3 defensemen as important to their teams as him. Pronger, Stevens, after that I'm hard pressed to think of any that meant as much to their teams as Lidstrom. He was just so different from everyone as well, never laying out hits and always having the puck. He really was the prototype for all the Swedish defensemen we see nowadays. |

I'd say its a toss between Federov and Lidstrom. But because he stayed with Detroit and never left, I'd say Lidstrom.
