Why wouldn't he? Larsson has a lot of upside and is being developed properly. Maybe not in a winning environment, but his team always tries to win and I've been watching him blossom into a perfect 2-3 guy. When PDB was fired and Stevens stepped back behind the bench Larsson started to flourish. With Stevens gone I'm worried, Larsson has the look of a top 4 guy, but the hopes were for a franchise defenseman when he was drafted. Right now I'd say Severson is likely to be the more likely to become that guy. I think you could see a Severson - Larsson top line in 3-4 years. I do agree that Severson has the highest ceiling out of the two, but Larsson is developing just fine. With your new coach, I think they'll give him a fair shot to keep playing 20+ minutes a night. |
