Dude. FatMarshAnyway, yeah. I love talking about this type of stuff. As for your cruise ship thing, they said there was shadow people in the dining hall? Did you ask more people about any weird phenomena? I kind of didn't want to bring it up with anyone, lol, but they said that there's been a shadow figure in that dining hall for a long time. I googled to see if there were any ghost reports or any deaths on the ship, and there was nothing. I never felt the presence again in my room, but I had trouble sleeping after that! There was a presence in my old home when I lived in Grand Rapids and went to college. I lived in a 3 story + basement with a bunch of other roommates. I lived there for 3 years but others lived there for 6 years prior and one still lives there today. That place was definitely a hot spot man. Things would be off the shelves, DVD cases out and open. Even if you were the only one there that night. Computer parts missing, cabinets open and close without anyone being in the kitchen (and we never opened the windows). The basement was weird as it felt like you were always being watched. Shadows moved down there in the near pitch black outside of the small windows on the north and west sides of the giant room. My dogs would go insane randomly at night like an intruder was there. We had a security system, though and always used it. Plus one roommate of mine was a sheriff. No one fucked with us, and it was a nice, post-Victorian neighborhood. I remember once when I switched rooms to the attic for the winter to take advantage of the rising heat from the rest of the house. It was 130ish in the morning and I was sitting in bed, reading some trivia book or something. My TV was on across the room. The attic obviously had a sloped ceiling for the roof.. I had hung a railing on one part of the room to hang my clothes as there was no closet. I looked up once when I had a weird feeling and noticed the hanging clothes kind of slightly waving. I froze up and just watched as they continued to move in a non natural pattern. You could hear and see the hangers slightly drag across the metal bar. About five minutes of watching, a set of clothes was pulled back at the shoulder of the shirts and I noticed a shadow person staring at me. Was pitch black. And my room never got pitch black as the street light was right outside my window.. and I had the TV on (muted) and a reading lamp on. The figure moved a bit and I freaked out after about ten seconds after it appeared. I got up really quick to rush the thing because I had NO alternative then to let it watch me (and I'm not one to let these things freak me out, I'm scared shitless ) The moment I got to my feet, it disappeared back behind the clothes. I would've thought I was maybe imagining it besides the fact that when it vanished, my clothes fell back into place and waved as they let gravity settle them back down. The owner of the house would constantly worry about bringing in new roommates do to this type of stuff. I told him the next day about this and he said that around 3-4 he was woken up by his closet door opening and one of his frames falling off the wall. This is just one night in a rather spooky ass house.

A couple years ago when they were out house shopping in a smaller town that was popular during the UG railroad days, they checked out two of them and as soon as she walked into the door she said there was a very dark and negative energy to the house. And they were saddened by it because the house was beautiful, but she said she'd never ever step foot in that house again. There's a couple good stories that my exgf's sister has, she's seen some weird shit. She legit explained that she saw and talked with her dead grandparents around her 18th birthday and they had been dead for 5+ years at that point. Saw a bible float off a table and slam on the ground in a church basement when she was 10. My sisters have that type of experiences where they have talked about things like this. My namesake is my grand father, he passed about 5 months before I was born and my older sister says that after I was born, she'd see my grandfather watching over me in my crib and she asked what he was doing. He said he was protecting me. My little sister had something haunt her when she was younger, she swears by it. Our childhood home was in a good area, but was the bad area of that good area, yknow? According to my neighbors, a teenage girl killed herself in my little sisters room in the 70s. My sister would wake up with red rashes all over her when she was a little girl for years. She would scream and run to my room or my mom's and complain about hearing noises and breathing.

They were do some minor renovations to the house, mainly just removing wallpaper and painting the walls. They went outside for something, then his mother came back inside and in the closet off the kitchen, a fire had been started where there was no source of a fire to occur. His wife then explained how she was sleeping one night in a room, and she woke up when she heard the bedroom door open around 7am, she thought it one of the family members, instead, she heard footsteps go the 10 feet from the door, over to the window, watched the window open, then heard the steps go back out of the room and watched the door handle move and the door was half closed. Apparently the old lady ghost is very nice as they've woken up to blankets on their beds on REALLY cold nights. But still........

I live in a newer house (under 25 years old) and most of my city is pretty young. Since I've moved to TN, I've had no experiences. Only the sleep paralysis. But, this area is supposedly littered with haunted shit. Civil War era stuff.. we are right next to Fort Campbell too.. and a LOT of bad shit in the past has happened there (look it up) not too mention all the people with PTSD, people who died during deployment that may linger in their last home at their barracks. I've been trying to find some people to go ghost hunting with through sight alone, but a lot of the older houses have recently been torn down. Most of the old downtown here was destroyed by a giant tornado in 99 too. So, even though my work spot here is over 113 years old for this same business, the building itself is 10 years old.

It's weird how babies/children are always easy targets for spirits. I remember one story she told me in which she was in her mid teenage years and she states that she was being haunted by a demon to a certain degree. I guess she was having a really tough time with school, had no friends, was always picked on (its a shame, my exgf's sister is quite pretty too), and so she started to get all pissed off at everything, then this demon/shadow would show up every night and would tell her horror stories about what hell is like and would give her nightmares and apparently it went on for almost 3 years to a point when the demon tried to make her hurt herself. It's hard to prove that other life exists, but when you hear and see things that can't be explained, it's hard NOT to believe.

Yes, my sister hasn't had any bad experiences since we moved out of that house. I don't know about after 2010. We've only seen each other three times since then. And that's creepy as shit. Demons, poltergeists, etc.. those are what freak me out almost as much as the "Shadow People" do. I've never had one talk to me or hurt me to my knowledge. And yeah, its hard not to believe just the plethora of stories over the entire recorded history of man kind. I mean, fuck, Lincoln would talk to his son after he died. He was told by a spectre that he would die in office. His wife was even more akin to the spirit world. You don't truly really believe until you experience it. Those fucking shows on TV are so over dramatic and fake, like "Ghost Hunters" and others.. they might actually grab something here or there but they fake it. Its the encounters from actual people that are the most revealing, if you ask me. You've never had any paranormal experiences, Greg?

Its the encounters from actual people that are the most revealing, if you ask me. You've never had any paranormal experiences, Greg? I've had a lot of times when I picked up on something just not being right, like some sort of bad/tense energy that was around. That always creeped me out because it would happen to me so fast. And the only thing I've ever had, outside of a window randomly being opened or randomly hearing my name, is that one from the cruise. WAIT! That's a lie. So 5-6 years ago when my grandmother was dieing in the hospital, I flew to PEI from Toronto to visit since we knew it was her time to go. The weirdest part about all of this is that so many people were travelling to see her, that she fought until everyone that had been told to come visit so that everyone could see her and say goodbye before she finally passed away. Then, when I went to get my flight home (didn't get approval previously to stay for the funeral, i just took off from work with only sending an email out lol), we had an hour delay and then the flight was cancelled due to a mechanical problem. So I was able to attend the funeral. Well, as we were leaving the church from the service, there was an unannounced road construction that day, so we actually had to take a bunch of back roads to get to the cemetery, but the thing with that is that by taking the back roads, she was able to be driven past all of our cottages in that small town! So, kind of makes you wonder, was it all just a run of luck and coincedence, or was something else at play that allowed everyone to see her/her "see" them before she left our world?

You'd deal with it. If I can live through fucking shadows watching me in the room I slept, you could investigate something with me that we never visit again. Only if you hold me when i get scared Combining both responses here. First, the grandmother thing. You never know. I'm one for coincidence usually.. but, that may be different in your case. It just all depends on the level of what you think a spirit could do. I haven't made up my mind yet as I don't know what I experienced was what in different extremes of paranormal happenings. What I do know, not believe, is that they are there, and they do interact. And we'll be like Shaggy and Scooby Doo. Except I always seem to have too many scooby snacks and investigate too much sometimes. I was just thinking back to the one time I actually saw a face of something.. I was walking home just after dusk in the summer in 2006. There was a slew of old houses on the way that no one had lived in for years, they'd been for sale since I was a little kid and grew up about a mile away (you had to go past these houses to get to the center of the city). I remember looking up and seeing a pale girl staring at me from one of these houses in the third story of an 1850s house.. curtain slightly pulled back. I watched her and she watched me for as long as I could before she vanished from my sight line further down the street. That house is still for sale today I think. Thats the only one I can think of that might be a neighborhood kid checking out the "scary house". But she sure didn't look at all real.

Oh man, I think it would be best to hold off on the scooby snacks until AFTER we finish the investigation hahaha YEah, it's hard to really understand it all. I believe that spirits/ghost/creatures, etc, all exist, but that doesn't mean that everyone will interact with them. Does that make sense? And fuck, that's so creepy as shit! I used to love reading the unexplained stories on Cracked.com. There's the story of the one bridge over in the UK I believe that is literally the dog death bridge. They've got an ongoing record of dogs going and committing suicide off a certain bridge for no explainable reason! like, WTF?
