150-200 dudes from the KKK website, isn't exactly what this site needs!!! or is it?   Nah, its a hockey group from the old NHL.com comments page.. we invited the good ones from there and made basically a protoHSF.. they're a lot more hockey focused for the most part and of the Iggy generation, but they're OEL people. I'm going to push for the link being posted soon. The Iggy generation? You mean really, really, old geriatric, cranky fucks? |

10 people who were pretty big post whores though, I know they say post count doesn't matter but when I'm putting 50-100 posts on there by myself it looks a lot better from Eks viewpoint. I mean is it though? From his POV, 10 posters won't make or break the advertisers on his site. And some of those posters being gone, may actually bring other posters back. It did get out of hand there for a while. Fun though.  When Dangles, Horseguts, HA, Reveen, Chet, myself, and a couple other major posters got mega Potato'd from there, it dropped Hendo's thread count by 2500 each blog just about.. and probably a combined 1000 from other blogs in that same time frame. Hits are hits. And a little drama brings out a lot of other posters. Ek and EO only started mega hating on us because the advertisers were getting wary of PG 13 and R rated posts. |

The thing is, we don't have niche communities yet, like HB has. We don't have a group of 50 Habs fans, 100 leafs fans, 75 Oiler fans, etc.. that will stick primarily under their team's thread page. So, while there are like 20 active users here right now, we pretty much get to jump around. But, we've pretty much been sticking to like 3-4 main ones.. Hockey News, Stuff Talk, HSF Fantasy, and Game Night Threads. And I think that's starting to work. Oh dude I totally get that. Not meant as a dis to this site, just saying I understand that viewpoint. I completely get why this site is the way it is right now.  I never accused you of saying anything different. I'm actually glad when people tell me what they want changed or want added or removed. Right now, we're not hurting.. we're a fucking baby website that's been around for 3 months. I'm not expected to be running a money making machine with 3-5000 posts a day this early in this site's infancy. |

The stupid ass bans they handed out for people just trying to keep trolls out. Yeah, some of us deserved bans for certain things, but we didn't deserve a lot of the ones they began handing out when they Nazied it up. I'd love to still be on HB like we were a year ago. But, EO has burnt a lot of bridges with a lot of his main traffic. |

I'd say only 1750 of those 2500 comments were about boobs, shit, drugs, and Kraft materials. But, I do agree. The thing is, of those extra 2500 comments, at least SOME were adding less social posters to join in. I think they made a mistake when they started going by their "Hockey Talk Only" philosophy. |

The thing I like about Proboards is they use decent ads here. Most of the ones I've seen are their own website. There's occassionally a few outside the website and their all generally safe and non risque. But Dangles does have a point. We get busted on HB for posting a picture of a woman in a tight dress. Yet, they advertise Russian Mail Order Brides, games with scantily clad women with huge tits, sexual arousal pills, etc.. its a double fucking standard. |
