Chris Kelly, who's ridiculous contract has has Bruins fans ripping their hair out for years suffered a fractured femur in last night's game. He'll be out six to eight months and has likely played his last game for the Bruins and possibly his last nhl game. Three broken legs since the 2012 season he took a lot of crap from us fans all while being a defensive rock. I think we're gonna miss him now that he's gone more than we thought. Speedy recovery Kells. If his last full game had to be the one Saturday at Tampa there could be worse ways to go out, he was a beast on Saturday.
Another one off the cup team gone, every time we lose another one it hurts. Though that's the nature of the beast I guess.

I think the team will miss him for the PK and his leadership in the locker room. You never want to see someone go down with a serious injury like that. Kelly has always done the little things while being a minor point producer. Always a fan of him but not his contract (thanks Chiarelli). Speedy recovery, wouldnt mind seeing him back in a B's uniform for 1.5mil or less. If not, I hope he gets a shot with another club.

Me too. The pk on this team is awful, in the past I think we could have mitigated the damage but this year this is actually a huge loss. I've always liked Kelly too, even if when other guys were traded it was hard to separate him from his deal.

Either as the 4th line center or bumping spooner down and being the 3rd line center. Or a winger, who knows what CJ has in store for this team.

I think Koko is better suited staying at wing playing with Krejci for now, playing with Loui and DK should him out so he's free to make the odd mistake and not have to worry. My biggest question is if Pasta isn't back in do they call someone up Talbot to straight up replace Kelly's skill set or do they give a kid like Vitrano a shot? Should be interesting. I'll trust Claude on this one. He seems like a new man this year I've been very impressed with his new found flexibility. All the more obvious that Sweely made the right call keeping him on. Chia on the other hand is still up to his old tricks. He should've never gotten rid of his sweet side burns.
