I used to hate Lidstrom because of how damn good he was but as I got older I learned to respect him a lot. Easily the best defenceman I have ever seen play the game.

I used to hate Lidstrom because of how damn good he was but as I got older I learned to respect him a lot. Easily the best defenceman I have ever seen play the game. Yzerman was the reason I started playing hockey, Lidstrom is why I chose defense. The guy was the Perfect Human for a reason. |

Sometimes I hate how much the game has changed because its nearly impossible to compare a guy like Lidstrom to Orr. Nick is hands down the best modern D man though.

I swear I got an email saying this site got shutdown... Oh well, I'm here now. Sometimes I hate how much the game has changed because its nearly impossible to compare a guy like Lidstrom to Orr. Nick is hands down the best modern D man though. I sent an email out saying we got deleted temporarily due to the porn section that is no longer here. They gave me the site back after 12 hours. 100% agreed on Orr being the best defenseman of the pre1990s era. And also on Lidstrom being the best modern. |

All four are now first ballot hall of famers. I would easily take Lidstrom, Stevens, Niedermayer or Pronger in their primes over any defenseman playing hockey today.
