This is more draft related then deadline related, but, as of me typing this post, there are six teams tied with 47 points without factoring in the win/loss records, who of Calgary, Toronto, Winnipeg, Buffalo, Edmonton and Columbus, is your preference to see get the first overall pick?
For me, I'd have to go with my soft spot of a team in Winnipeg. Their fan base was deprived of a good hockey team for so long, and they are at a bit of a cross roads. If we could, I'd love to see Chiarelli deal our first rounder to Winnipeg for Big Buffetline (conditional he resigns in Edmonton). Now, would a cap manageable deal be able to be worked out with him to keep him around? That's tough to say, but maybe he can see how he could be a very key piece to the club's success and doesn't demand anything crazy.
Who would be your preference to see get the lottery pick? And just for the record, I believe the Oilers will be drafting outside of the top ten.

I hate Calgary and Columbus and don't want the first overall to go to my division in Buffalo or toronto. You guys have had enough.

I could see Tkachuk working out really well in Winnipeg. He seems to fit their style, or at least to my minimal amount of watching him, I think he would mesh well, especially with a guy like Ehlers. But Matthews would do just fine there as well.

Matthews I think will be like Yakupov. Overrated and potentially a 20 goal-40-50 point player. I think Chychrun will be the next Weber/Ekblad/Doughty.

I have barely followed the draft this year (for exciting reasons). No chance Matthews will be like McDavid, but I can see him being better than Yakupov. I can see Laine being a similar version to Patrick Kane.

Both him an PJ will be impact players for years to come. I think Matthews needs the right wingers.

I hate Winnipeg fans more than any other fan base so I kind of hope the Jets suck but on the other hand I like the Jets team and want to see them succeed. I guess the Jets can have the pick but Winnipeg fans will hate whoever that player is unless he's as good as Ovie.

Maybe an eastern team could part with something that would be useful to the Oilers for their top draft pick? I mean, if worse comes to worse and the Oiler's tumble back to in the top 5, maybe a club would like two top 5 picks and we get a OEL Dman? Matthews is the new Stefan

I'm not too familiar with the fans, but I believe what you say since you are over in that neighbourhood. I only looked at it as strictly the team and the franchise. Those fans sound like the moronic Oilers fans that want to trade Eberle/Nuge/Nurse/Klefbom/Davidson.
