I had a Cavalier. 86 model. Biggest piece of shit I've ever been in. Floors rusted out, had to use 2x8s to keep my feet from hitting the rust and cutting myself. Ran like 15 miles before it blew up. that's fantastic! When did you have that? Oh god.. summer of 2004. Just graduated high school and moved in with my dad for the summer before college. He had totaled my new Mercury Sable that he JUST bought me and he decided to make up for it by buying me this pile of shit. It was a manual and I couldn't shift into second, had to jump to third. I drove it around the property and some county roads and then the engine decided to snap or something. A giant fucking dent thrust upwards in my hood. I sold it for $300 and guilted my dad into giving me his Pontiac Aztec.

The Aztec worked perfectly for me for three months then I moved back to Grand Rapids and lived within walking distance to campus. Didn't really own a car since my first wife had one and after she passed, I just took public transportation.

I use to take public transportation all the time and had to walk everywhere. I didn't have regular use of a vehicle until I was in the last 2-3 months of high school.

I didn't know you lived in both of those places. How long was that for? We had/have second homes there (well, parents and grand parents did), so I was always there for at least 5-10 days a month growing up. Still got a lot of family in Northern Chicago in the suburbs. Pittsburgh, I lived there from Nov 2003 to Jan 2004. One of their heaviest winters I think. I couldn't find a job nor could I get my schools to transfer since I was 17. So, moved back home.

I'd like to visit both places. My buddy's fiance did 6 months of her doctorate placement in Chicago and he's told me about all the OEL pizza joints

Chicago has better hotdogs though. Overall, the food and people of Chicago put New York to shame.

I'm just a pizza fan, a good chicago deep dish is pretty fantastic.

But give me a large slice of true NY cheese pizza over deep dish anyday.

Oh man, I need to get you some pictou county pizza. That pizza is the best pizza, hands down. Yeah? Why's that? excellent spicy pepperoni and sauce. It's known for having the "brown" sauce given the vegetable mix they use in the sauce. I believe it was created from an old greek family recipe when they landed in Canada. The cheese is always plentiful, like really plentiful. actually, here's the website. I'm not going to edit my above sentence because I'm lazy lol: www.pictoucountypizza.com/There's also: www.cbc.ca/news/canada/nova-scotia/pictou-county-s-brown-sauce-pizza-shipped-to-fort-mcmurray-1.2474097The pizza is a style, much like the deep dish vs NY. It's just more of less condensed into a small area, but there's like 8 places in that area that all have the same pizza The dipping sauce is donair sauce. It's fucking fantastic with garlic fingers.
