If your own team can't win the cup this year, who would you like to see take home Lord Stanley's goblet? I think I'd like to see Ovi and Trotz take it all this year. I think Ovechkin is more of an impact player year in and out than Crosby, despite not being as talented. He needs to take home a cup or two in his career to really solidify his place in history. I already think he's the best goal scorer of all time. If I had to pick out in the West, I'd love to see Nashville grab it. Just so I can go to more playoff games this year.  |

But only if this happens: Toronto somehow makes a pact with the devil, they manage to overcome all odds and end up facing Tampa Bay in the Eastern final. Stamkos still doesn't have a contract extension signed with the Bolts, so it goes into game 7, goes into OT, and then guess what happens during the intermission? Stamkos pulls a Hogan, takes off the Bolts jersey at centre ice to reveal a Leafs jersey. He throws a DX chop to the fans in Tampa, then wins the faceoff and scores the winning goal, launching Toronto into the final. They of course then lose to the superior Western Conference team and they succumb themselves to cap management hell because Stamkos receives a 8 year 120 mil contract. Plausible? |
