Well, I was wondering what features that you guys would like to see in the new NHL 17 game coming out this fall? I was really hoping to see a reduction of tripping calls for 6v6 online play when trying to poke check in your own dzone. I mostly play defense online and tend to want to play too conservatively because of bullshit penalties.

Not related to online play, but I really miss the create a team feature. Being able to customize home and away jerseys and team make up. (you could grab players that play in the KHL and put them on your team.
Way back when, I want to say it was NHL 05 or 06, there was a feature where you could control arena upgrades, concessions and other features that dictate your attendance and revenue. I think that this kind of feature would give a whole new dimension to the be a GM mode. Your success in pulling in revenue directly effects how much cap you can spend and whatnot. This kind of feature would be cool to implement, and as kind of a salute to NHL fans, you could connect the 'player morale' with fan happiness. For example fans who are really happy make free agents and other players want to sign with your team, where as negative fan happiness will make players less likely to sign with you or want to be traded out of town.
Something to think about.

I would play the shit out of that. Me too. It seems like they're trying REALLY hard to push more online play. All games seem to be going that way, hard to find good single player campaigns, let alone ones that last more than 3-4 hours of gameplay |

That was 06 with Sakic on the cover I think. Customizing your office was amazing. I wish they would do that for BAP where you could buy a house or condo and stylize it to your liking and buy cars and stuff to spend your money. Otherwise there is zero reason for earning a good contract.
I hope they do an overhaul of goalie, it needs to be loosened up so you can make more acrobatic saves is you play that style or have better control if you want to be a positional goalie. The styles don't seem to matter a whole lot and I wish they would.
Defence sucks because you cannot tie guys up in front of the net and that makes it impossible to defend the one timer.
I wish they would add a penalty kill modifier so you can send the puck off the glass and get a stupid delay of game penalty or send it down the ice with enough draw to not ice it when you want a line change.
I would like to be given full control over my stick so I can break up passes and poke check not at the other players feet every fucking time. I would stick to work and not result in penalties all the time but I would also like to see you be able to lift your stick to beat out a stick lift.
I would like full control skating so I don't skate like a pylon, I want to be able to move side to side quickly like NHL defencemen are capable of and I don't ever want to get beat when I'm already skating back at full speed and the other guy starts from a stand still.
I want to choose my body position when I block a shot OR IF I TRY TO BLOCK A PASS WHICH IS A FUCKING THING EASPORTS. I don't want to randomly drop to the ice or to one knee or just stand straight up. I want to choose depending on the situation.
I would like to have my body position matter, when I have a guy lined up chest to chest he should not bump off of me and keep skating with the puck. At the very least I would be able to shove him and shake him off the puck and if I'm a strong player I will likely put him on his ass.
There are thousands more that I would like to see added but I'll save it for later.

If I see my goalie out of position and I go to block the shot, hoping to lay down, it'll keep my standing up sometimes and allow the goal because I couldn't fucking choose.  |
