Remember that one time when our teams didn't suck? The memory of those days are starting to fade. My team's are possibly getting closer. Have to replace Richards, Datsyuk, Quincey, Jurco, Andresen, and potentially Howard/Mrazek. Holland hasn't been good about replacing people so far like Lidstrom, Rafalski, Stuart, Hasek, Filpulla, Hudler, Eaves with Carlo C, Stephen Weiss, David Legwand, Kent Huskins, Ty Conklin, etc. |

The memory of those days are starting to fade. My team's are possibly getting closer. Have to replace Richards, Datsyuk, Quincey, Jurco, Andresen, and potentially Howard/Mrazek. Holland hasn't been good about replacing people so far like Lidstrom, Rafalski, Stuart, Hasek, Filpulla, Hudler, Eaves with Carlo C, Stephen Weiss, David Legwand, Kent Huskins, Ty Conklin, etc. Yet somehow the wings still make the postseason. As for Richards, Quincy, Jurco, Andresen and Howard, thats all addition by subtraction. Dats will be hard to replace. But with the wings ACTUALLY taking first round picks, I can see this turning around very quickly. Give Mrazek some time, he will be a OEL starter. They need to draft a blue chip D man or two. The forward depth might suffer with the youth for a bit, but they will learn and grow. The wings may miss the playoffs a year or two, but I dont see them being bottom dwellers. |
