Welcome to the 2015-16 HSF Fantasy League
Here is some of the preliminary info. When Yahoo opens registration for this season an official thread with complete rules and a basic guide for anyone that might be newer to fantasy hockey will be posted in a new thread.
Teams : 30 with 2 owners per team
To be eligible to join you must be a member of HSF so make sure you tell your friends to join the site. To reserve your spot in the league send me a message including your co-owner's HSF username. Once the league is open you and your co-owner will receive a private invite.
Fees: $40USD per team. This means $20USD per person Lums
League Setup: The league will be split into 2 conferences of 15 teams. Each team will play every team in their conference once and 2 teams from the other conference.
Season: There are 27 weeks in the NHL season. Weeks 19-26 shall be for the playoffs. If Yahoo allows the shorter opening week and all star break week to combined with other weeks that will leave us with a 16 week season.
Keepers: 4 - After each season each team is required to keep 4 players they will carry into next season. A team may only designate a player as a keeper in 3 consecutive off-seasons
Rosters: 2-C 4-W 4-D 1-G and 5 bench slots. Each team will essentially have a top 6 forward group, a top 4 defense group, and a starting goalie. No IR slots will be provided so you will have to use your 5 bench slots wisely.
Playoffs: The top 8 teams in each conference will make the playoffs. Each playoff round will be 2 weeks long.
Scoring: TBD - Leaning towards a basic head-to-head system where you can win, lose, or tie individual stat categories
Prizes: Based on the information I currently have:
1st- Each owner will receive an authentic Reebok NHL jersey (possibly customized) and a bottle of booze
2nd- Each owner will receive an authentic Reebok NHL jersey (possibly customized)
3rd- Each owner will receive a bottle of booze
Additionally each owner of the 16 playoff teams will receive an Official HSFFL Manly Cup Playoffs pint glass
Complete information on waivers, trades, trade deadline, and roster freeze dates will be included in the official thread.

I want complete control. Can't I just pay the $40 myself? I think he's trying to include everyone who's on the site possibly. That is kind of the idea behind it. I think it also adds a team dynamic on coming to a mutual decision with your co-owner just like real GMs do. If there isn't a large enough interest we may just do a 30 person league with 1 owner per league. |

Actually I assumed everybody here is too busy snapping necks and cashing checks that having someone else to update your lineup would come in handy |

If there isn't a large enough interest we may just do a 30 person league with 1 owner per league. Yeah that'll definitely make it interesting having to agree on player acquisitions. |
