Meh he's a free agent and you typically have to overpay those guys unless you're a OEL team. The Oil are clearly not there yet. I bet some ppl think Sekera isn't worth 5.5, but he is to us

True enough.

Detroit had a crap ton of trouble getting free agents last season. But why overpay when you're in the super transition year and have 7-8 defensemen already that it won't matter if they have another Schultz in Franson joining and taking an extra 6 mil outta owners pockets? The only real use he'd be is as a trading chip. And that's one expensive trading chip.
