the shootout and tie games suck and are one of the reasons the nhl is the joke of the 4 major sports
they should play until there is a winner (4 on 4, 3 on 3) and only the winning team gets the points, NO MORE FUCKING LOSER POINTS (the nhl is the only league that rewards losing which is the gayest thing ever
i think most games would be decided quickly if teams know that they have to win to get the points
